I’m a student at Boston University, this happened during a big snowball fight we had on the Esplanade, the park next to the Charles River. There were tons of people on the highway next to the park and river and a cop driving by saw everyone and stopped. This kid threw a snowball at him, he got out and told him to stop, more snowballs were thrown and the kid got chased and tased. People took off and that pretty much ended the snowball fight, but I would guess maybe 1500 people were there at its peak.
This excessive force is completely uncalled for. This police officer should be disciplined and retrained. This is the misuse of tasers and the misuse of his authority.
